PDF Annotator, by GRAHL software design is a really slick program that lets you add notes to PDF files. I have to say that I tried this program because the last time I tried to add something to a PDF file I had lots of hoops to jump through. So, for me, PDF Annotator was a very pleasant surprise. Testing it out I used a variety of PDF files that I knew had been created from different sources, because I’d created them. Didn’t make a difference because PDF Annotator let put notes in all of them. This would be a great product for anyone who shares and comments on multiple documents. The program provides an easy way to insert comments right into the PDF text. Great for suggesting changes, reviewing content, making wording comments, and lots more. Working with it I found I could even paste in items from my clipboard. What to me is very cool is that you don’t need any software installed to view documents that have been altered with PDF Annotator. I sent some modified PDF files to a virtual machine and I thought for kind of viewer application, but not so! The program is very easy- to-use and perfect for users with all levels of experience. If you find yourself needing to comment or annotate PDF files, this is your solution. I highly recommend it.

4DiskClean Pro, by byRSS is a neat program that takes care of cleaning up your computer and a whole lot more. For example, 4Diskclean Pro can clean the Windows Registry. In testing it I found that this module works quite well - very fast and efficient. It scans the Registry, looks for and find problems, and then fixes them. The program has an intuitive interface and is very easy-to-use and that makes it perfect for users with all levels of experience. The overall concept of the program is to keep your computer running smoothly by removing all kinds of junk. It cleans up the Internet cache, scans for adware, removes cookies, and more. When it comes to spyware it not only helps eliminate spyware as you encounter it, but it can also stop existing spyware from working. At the same time it performs a number of other functions that are extremely useful. For example, it can find and delete not only duplicate files, but duplicate DLLs as well. The program will also give you a graphical analysis of your disk space usage. The program has a lot of nice features and it functions quite well. So, if you’ve been looking for a program that will take care of adware and spyware, while keeping your computer free of junk, this might be just what you’re looking for. Give it a try!

FolderCloak, by filesee.com is an interesting utility that lets you hide folders so others can’t see them. I had to kind of laugh when I looked at the developers site. I had assumed that the term "cloak" was taken from the cloaking device used by the Klingons. Not so. On the Web site it says that the program puts a "Harry Potter invisibility cloak" on your folders. So, same concept, different source. In any event, FolderCloak makes the folders you select not only totally invisible, but the files can’t be accessed in any way. In testing it out I tried a few tricks to see if I could unhide the folders I’d hidden, but no dice. FolderCloak is very easy-to-use and perfect for both new and experienced users. While your hidden folders are un-cloaked you can work with them just like always. When you cloak them, however, they can’t be seen or accessed. That means you don’t have to worry about anyone getting at your private files. I also found that should you uninstall the program all of your folders are still there and visible. So, if you’d like to hide the contents of certain folders FolderCloak might be the solution you’ve been looking for. Check it out.

Agent, by Forte is a powerful, first-rate newsreader and it’s gotten progressively better over the years. Agent can handle multiple newsgroup servers, private newsgroups, and email. It can also deal with both text and binary newsgroups. It also comes with some impressive filtering power so you can get exactly what you want from the newsgroups you subscribe to. It provides the ability to have the program "pull" in content from multiple servers so you have optimum content with a Agent has a lot of configurable options and I always like that. You can have different personas for different newsgroups. That gives you a lot of flexibility. You can have an "official" personal for business and other, more informal personas for other things. The ability to do email makes Agent a killer package because you can have all your email and newsgroups in one application. I personally have run Agent from a USB drive for over 6 months with no problems at all. Keep in mind that this is not a documented feature, but it works for me. Take that for what it’s worth. Agent is a powerful yet easy-to-use solution for both newsgroups and email. It’s loaded with great features and lots of configurable options. You can customize it in so many ways including filters to route your information and different rules for different folders. The program also makes it very easy to find information that’s in the program. Search for text in email or newsgroups and find what you’re looking for! Give it a try, I recommend it.
